| About Fisher Island Day School |
- The Fisher Island Day School is a co-educational, independent day school with 75 students enrolled in the Toddler program (2 yrs.) through the Fifth Grade, and is located on beautiful and safe Fisher Island, accessible only via an eight minute ferry from Miami Beach.
- The school is fully accredited by the State of Florida, the Florida Council of Independent Schools, and the Florida Kindergarten Council.
- The school was founded in 2004 by parents Robert and Lexie Potamkin. Thanks to their generous support and that of other donors, the school is financially secure.
- The very active Board of Directors is comprised exclusively of Fisher Island Equity Members and noted educators from the greater Miami community.
- The school occupies a beautiful one acre campus with a state-of-the art playground and water park. Five acres of adjacent playing fields are also available for student use.
- The facility is technologically advanced and offers classroom internet access, Smart Boards, and secure web access for parents to view their child in “real time”.
